Altavere Labs
Altavere Labs is a US oral health company founded by Dr. Shankargouda Patil. We formulate around the oral environment: the saliva, tissues and microbial balance that shape everyday oral health. Every active ingredient and its dose is printed on the front of the jar, and our work is built on two patent-pending platforms.
Dr. Shankargouda Patil founded Altavere Labs to turn oral science into everyday products. He trained as a dentist at P.M. Nadagouda Memorial Dental College in Bagalkot, India, specialized in oral and maxillofacial pathology at Sree Balaji Dental College in Chennai, and earned a PhD in medical biotechnology at the University of Siena, Italy.
He is a professor at the Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Utah. His research spans oral pathology, oral cancer diagnostics and dental education, across more than 300 peer-reviewed publications. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and has been named in Stanford University's list of the top 2% of scientists worldwide.
